We are a new kind of shark conservation charity.
Sharks keep our largest and most important ecosystem healthy. Our existence, in part, is dependent upon theirs. Sharks have sat atop the oceans’ food chain, keeping our seas healthy for 450 million years. They are a critical component in an ecosystem that provides 1/3 of our world with food, produces more oxygen than all the rainforests combined, removes half of the atmosphere’s manmade carbon dioxide (greenhouse gas), and controls our planet’s temperature and weather. An estimated 73 million sharks are killed each year (more than 10,000 sharks per hour). They are killed primarily for their fins to be used in shark fin soup, an Asian delicacy that dates all the way back to the time of the Emperor. It is estimated that 90 percent of large sharks have been wiped out regionally.

- SHARK ANGELS U: Provide educational resources and presentations to raise awareness about the plight of sharks and the importance of their conservation. Shark Angels has presented hundreds of hours of captivating, creative programs to children, students & adults in 8 countries, on 3 continents!
- SHARK DIVING: Offer unique travel experiences to learn about sharks and support ecotourism worldwide. Our shark diving expeditions create new shark ambassadors and support local economies, reinforcing that sharks are more valuable alive than dead.
- SHARK-FREE: Educate consumers to make informed buying decisions by providing information on products like cosmetics, food and vitamins that might contain shark.
- POSITIVE MEDIA: Produce compelling, perspective-altering posts and videos that inspire people to rethink their views on sharks and the issues facing them. Our donated footage of shark finning has been featured on Discovery Channel, National Geographic, CNN and many other outlets.
- MENTORSHIP: Work with students to provide real world experience in the field of conservation, including research, communication and advocacy skills.
- OUTREACH: Advocate for better protection and management of shark populations through policy changes and laws that curb the shark fin trade and support sustainable fishing.
